Prospera Financial Services' gift
covers cost of
updating therapy room
April 3, 2008
Denton, Texas - The group therapy playroom at the Nelson Children’s Center was recently remodeled and supplied with therapeutic toys thanks to a gift of $5,000 from Prospera Financial Services.
"Propera asked us what we needed most right now, and their people went beyond what we expected," said Cheryl Rayl, chief executive officer of Nelson Center. "The new toys and furnishings will greatly enhance our efforts to help our children."
The donation made possible the addition of new dolls, dress-up clothes and a sand box. These “toys” are designed to enable the children to more easily share their feelings and emotions with the therapists who help the residents deal with emotional and behavioral problems.
Prospera Financial Services also provided new tables, chairs and group activity books.
